Wedding Photography

I am a full time, professional, wedding photographer serving Parry Sound, Muskoka, Central and Southern Ontario and beyond. 

I absolutely love my job! Each wedding I photography, no matter how big or small, is special to me.  I have had several couples tell me that their wedding photographs are one of the most important things happening on their wedding day, second only to the act of getting married.  Knowing that I am providing a service that is so important to my clients, and that I am being trusted with the creation of images that will help keep the memories of “their special day” alive for years is something I consider an honor.

When I photography your wedding, my goal is to tell your story and “capture those special moments” in a way that will bring a smile to your face and warmth to your heart as you and your loved ones look back on your images over the years to come.  

Using a free ranging, portrait-journalistic style, that is a mix of fine art, fashion, photo-journalist and traditional wedding photography, I capture a range of candid and formal images in a casual, comfortable style.  At times, such as during the ceremony, reception, and dance I shoot totally in an unobtrusive journalistic style.  At other times throughout your day I will work effectively, and unobtrusively, with you and your guests, in the creation of semi-posed portraits that have a distinctly natural, relaxed look and feel.

I believe it is important to get to know couples well before their wedding day.  Normally, this is accomplished through a series of phone calls and e-mails.  Supplemented, when possible, with face to face meetings.  These sessions help ensure we have a comfortable bond, well in advance of “your special day.”

During these calls and, or meetings I like to get a good sense of your individual needs, ideas and wishes.  I will show you several print samples of my work and we will talk about the style and types of images you are looking for.  Often, I find that while many clients have a good, general idea of what they want, they appreciate receiving some creative input and suggestions that help  focus their thoughts and ensure their day is captured in a way that captures their personalities and needs.

Whenever possible, I try to co-ordinate a “walkabout” with the couple, well in advance of the wedding.  We visit the site where the bride will be getting ready, the ceremony site, and the location, or locations where the post ceremony images will be taken.  If I am shooting the reception, a quick tour of the reception venue is also helpful. These pre-wedding walk-abouts help give the couple a good sense of how the photography will mesh seamlessly with the flow of their day, leaving them much more relaxed and at ease on their wedding day. 

During your wedding day I will work with you and your guests in an efficient, effective, unobtrusive manner, accommodating personal preferences, last minute requests and “capturing your special moments.”  One of the most popular aspects of our wedding photography is the time spent with the bride and groom after the ceremony, both alone as a married couple for the first time, and with their wedding party.  These sessions are customized for each couple and result in creative, meaningful, images that capture the couples personalities and emotions in interesting settings that often incorporate nature and the outdoors. The stunning images created during these sessions, have become our trademark.  Couples frequently tell me how much they have enjoyed these sessions.

I offer a full range of packages priced $1000 to $3500 and beyond.  As well, I often work with couples to create, fully customized packages, specifically designed to meet their particular needs.  All packages come with a set of disks that include carefully edited, high resolution jpeg copies of my images, less duplicates and “blinks” that can be used for non-commercial, personal use. 

We also offer  fully custom designed wedding albums and sign in books.
