Lacey & Jayson – Engagement Photography – Pointe au Baril – Georgian Bay

The outdoors plays a big part in Lacey and Jayson’s lives.  This couple lives north of Pointe au Baril, on the shore of Georgian Bay, and they are both avid hunters and fishers.   We opted to do their engagement shoot in Sturgeon Bay Provincial Park which just happens to be right across the bay from their home.   It quickly become evident that these two are right at home among the rugged beauty of the area with it’s rock, trees and water.    After a wee bit of coaching both Lacey and Jayson got into the swing of things and we had a great time.  After we worked our way out of the park we drove to a nearby marsh where Jayson traps bait fish for their fishing excursions.  Below I’ve posted a few of the shots from their shoot.  I’m looking forward to meeting this couple again in few weeks when we do a walk about to select some sites for their post cermony wedding day shots this July.  Knowing their passion for the outdoors and the great backdrops in the Pointe au Baril area I am confident we will find some great sites that will reflect both their passion for each other, and the outdoors.

Brandy & Todd’s Sugar Bush Engagement Photos – Parry Sound

Brandy and Todd chose to incorporate their engagement photo shoot with their love for spending time in the sugar bush each spring.  This year’s rapid  transition from winter to spring and Brandy’s busy schedule, as partner in a local accounting firm, meant that the snow was gone before we could do the shoot.  I was wondering if we had also missed the sap run too, but Todd asssured me that there was still pleanty of sap running.  When we got together at the sugar bush a couple of weeks ago Todd and his buddies had the fire going strong in the sugar shack that his grandfather had constructed several decades ago and the sap was bubbling away in the evaporator pans.

A week or so later when I meet with Brandy and Todd to deliver their proofs I was surprised to learn that in spite of our incredibly mild weather they were still busy collecting sap and had been able to make a good quanity of maple syrup.   Below are a few of the shots from our shoot.  I am looking forward to working with these two again at their September, 2010 wedding in Parry Sound.

Lisa & Graham – Muskoka Parry Sound Engagement Shoot

Lisa and Graham are another awesome couple that I got to know and work with in 2009.  In the early spring of 2009 we got together for engagement shoot near Lake Joseph in the heart of Parry Sound, Muskoka country.  There was still some snow in areas and we went for a walk with their wonderful, large, and friendly dog who is in some of the shots.  I will do a post on Lisa and Graham’s wedding soon, but I thought I would start with a few shots from their engagement session.

Courtney and Parry’s Engagement Photo Session – Killbear Park,  Parry Sound, Ontario, Canada

Courtney and Parry love the outdoors and Killbear Provincial Park, just north of Parry Sound Ontario, has a special place in their hearts.  On a wonderful, warm, sunny, day, last October, we got together and made our way to Killbear for their engagement shoot.  We had a blast. These two have great chemistry and are clearly very much in love.  I am looking forward to shooting their wedding in August 2010.   Courtney and Parry had me do a customized sign in book for their wedding.  I am really excited about being able to offer these high quality, custom designed sign in albums to couples and will post some samples of Courtney and Parry’s sign in album soon.
