It was a real treat to meet up with Seanna and Andrew, three years after photographing their wedding in 2008. This time we were doing family portraits and now Seanna and Andrew have two wonderful, lively, young sons.

We did the portrait’s at Seanna’s parent’s cottage near Whitestone, ON.  This was the same place where I had photographed Seanna three years earlier, when she was getting dressed for her marriage to Andrew, at Whitestone Lake Resort.  The swing Seanna is sitting on, with her two young sons in one of the shots below, is the same one she was sitting on in her wedding dress three years earlier.

My strategy with the two energetic young boys was to let them enjoy being boys, grabbing shots as things progressed.  We had balloons, bubbles, Team Canada Hockey shirts, and suckers. We used them all at various stages of the shoot.

I had thrown my hip waders in the car as I headed out the morning of the shoot as I recalled there was a dock that might afford some good shots, but only if I could get out into the water.  As things turned out this proved useful and we got some great images of the boys on the dock, one of which I have included in this post.

Early this past winter I had an awesome portriat session with Minola, Sorin and their beautiful wee daughter, Diana.  Minola is one of the great dentists at Dentistry on the Bay, in Parry Sound and Sorin, a large animal vetrinarian in his home land,  is working on the canadian verison of his degree/canadian certification, while also playing a huge role in Diana’s young life.  We got to know each other pretty well, in Los Cabos, Mexico, early November, at the Lahti-Campbell wedding and soon after we were back in Canada Minola called to arrange a family portrait session.

We did the shoot one morning in my Georigan Bay based studio. Initailly Diana was abit unsure of the studio lights as you’ll see the first image below.  Before long, Diana figured out that this was a fun event and she really got into the session, giving us some really great smiles and looks.

One of the wonderful families I had the pleasure of working with late last fall was Heather, Jade, their young daughter, Veronica, and  Heather’s mother, father, and brother.  As the weather was starting to get that late fall, early winter bite, we did the session in my studio, just north of Parry Sound.

Veronica is a cutie and her mom and dad had her done up in a spiffy plaid dress.  We had a fun session and everyone enjoyed their time in front of the camera, and trying to make the others laugh during their turn.

I met Sarah and Roy in 2007 when I did their engagement and wedding photos.   This past October I had the pleasure of photographing them once again, but this time with their wonderful daughter, Olivia.  Olivia was just about to celebrate a birthday when we did these shots.  Sarah recently celebrated a birthday of her own so I thought it would be fitting to post a few of the images from our October session as a bit of belated birthday to Sarah.  Best wishes guys.  You have a wonderful daughter!
